Changes to Free School Meals Eligibility

URGENT CHANGES TO FREE SCHOOL MEALS

DEADLINE 31ST MARCH 2025

Please see attached information regarding changes to Free School Meals.

If your child currently receives Free School Meals they will continue to do so until Year 6.

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, your child will currently receive universal free school meals, this is only due to their age and not their entitlement to Free School Meals based on family circumstances.

We would encourage parents to apply before the deadline even if your child is in Rec, Year 1 or Year 2, as if you are eligible this will be protected until Year 6.

Any child who becomes eligible for Free School Meals on or after 1st April 2025 will be regularly assessed, and may lose their entitlement if family circumstances change.
